WHPS & PAWS are making things simpler this year!​

 

To streamline fall giving for families, teacher gifts and PAWS annual support will now be combined into a single contribution to PAWS, rather than having separate PAWS and classroom fund drives at the start of the year. Every family is expected to participate in the PAWS Fall Drive with a minimum contribution of $150 per child. Families who can contribute more are also critical to funding larger programs and experiences, can receive donor perks, and are encouraged to take advantage of employer matching when available.

There will no longer be a separate annual classroom fund. Instead, class needs will be handled as they arise throughout the year, with families invited to send in requested items or make optional contributions. Teachers will guide celebrations with Room Parents, adjusting plans based on family participation and keeping events student-centered, health-conscious, and environmentally mindful. SignUp Genius will be used to coordinate class needs.

 

To keep teacher recognition consistent and equitable, PAWS will coordinate gifts for teachers and support staff throughout the year while continuing to fund its cultural programming, enrichment activities, and community events. Unlike many independent schools, WHPS proudly does not conduct a separate annual giving campaign to support school operations. PAWS is the school's primary annual fundraising effort, and every family’s participation is essential to making this wide range of programs and experiences possible across Preschool and Elementary.
